भारत के 15 वें राष्ट्रपति का चुनाव 18 जुलाई 2022 को होना है। सत्ताधारी एन डी ए और विपक्षी यू पी ए के साथ क्षेत्रीय दल भी पूरी जोर आजमाइश में जुटे हैं। वहीं तृणमूल कांग्रेस की सुप्रीमो ममता बनर्जी किसी गैर कांग्रेसी को विपक्ष का साझा उम्मीदवार बनाने की कोशिश में हैं। नामांकन की आखिरी तारीख 29 जून 2022 है।
राष्ट्रीय नागरिक पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष के के गौतम ने कहा है कि इस बार सत्ताधारी एन डी ए और विपक्ष गठबन्धन यू पी ए तथा क्षेत्रीय दल मिलकर किसी पढ़े लिखे किन्नर समाज के नागरिक को देश का राष्ट्रपति बनाएं।
के के गौतम ने कहा कि संविधान लागू होने के बाद से अब तक पुरुष समाज से 13 और स्त्री समाज से वर्ष 2007 में आदरणीया प्रतिभा पाटिल को देश का राष्ट्रपति बनाया गया। क्या इस बार केंद्र में काबिज सरकार और विपक्षी दल के साथ-साथ क्षेत्रीय दल मिलकर किन्नर समाज से किसी किन्नर को देश का पहला राष्ट्रपति देने के लिए तैयार है। क्योंकि वह भी संविधान के अनुसार राष्ट्र का नागरिक हैं। आइए हम सब मिलकर इस की पहल करें।
गौरतलब है कि भारत के संविधान की उद्देशिका हम भारत के लोग, भारत को एक सम्पूर्ण प्रभुत्व -सम्पन्न समाजवादी, धर्मनिरपेक्ष, लोकतंत्रात्मक गणराज्य बनाने के लिये तथा उसके समस्त नागरिको को : सामाजिक, आर्थिक और राजनैतिक न्याय; विचार अभिव्यक्ति, विश्वास धर्म और उपासना की स्वतंत्रता; प्रतिष्ठा और अवसर की समता प्राप्त कराने के लिये, तथा उन सब में व्यक्ति की गरिमा और राष्ट्र की एकता और अखण्डता सुनिश्चित करने वाली बन्धुता बढ़ाने के लिए दृढ़संकल्प होकर अपनी इस संविधान सभा में आज तारीख 26 नवम्बर 1949 ई. (मिति मार्गशीर्ष शुक्ला सप्तमी, संवत दो हजार छह विक्रमी) को एतद् द्वारा इस संविधान को अंगीकृत, अधिनियमित और आत्मार्पित करते हैं ।
