कोलकाता में तैनात केंद्रीय औद्योगिक सुरक्षा बल (सीआइएसएफ) के एक कर्मी की कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से मौत हो गयी. सीआइएसएफमें कोविड-19 से होने वाली यह तीसरी मौत है. अधिकारियों ने मंगलवार को यह जानकारी दी.
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय के अधीन केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (सीएपीएफ) में कोविड-19 से होने वाली यह छठी मौत है. इससे पहले संक्रमण के शिकार हुए सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बीएसएफ) के दो और केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) के एक कर्मी की मौत हो चुकी है.
कोलकाता स्थित गार्डन रीच शिपबिल्डर एन्ड इंजीनियर लिमिटेड (जीआरएसईएल) की सुरक्षा इकाई में तैनात सहायक उप निरीक्षक (एएसआइ) झारू बर्मन (55) की कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से सोमवार को मौत हो गयी. एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी.
उन्होंने बताया कि बर्मन का एक स्थानीय अस्पताल में इलाज चल रहा था. इससे पहले कोलकाता स्थित भारतीय संग्रहालय में तैनात सीआइएसएफ के एक एएसआई और मुंबई अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर तैनात हेड कांस्टेबल की कोविड-19 से मौत हो चुकी है.
