कोलकाता, हावड़ा के बेंटरा थाना अंतर्गत ईस्ट वेस्ट बाईपास पर शनिवार देर शाम एक प्रमोटर की पॉइंट रेंज से गोली मार कर हत्या करने की सनसनीखेज घटना घटी। मृतक का नाम बूबून हाईत बताया जाता है। वह कदमतला के रहने वाले थै। यह घटना शनिवार रात 8 बजे की बताई गई है।
स्थानीय सूत्र के अनुसार, उक्त प्रमोटर विशाल गैस के समीप ईस्ट वेस्ट बाईपास से जा रहा था। इसी दौरन एक बाइक पर 3 बदमाश आए और सिर के बीचों-बीच पॉइंट रेंज से गोली मार कर घटनास्थल से फरार हो गए। इधर, एकदम सामने से गोली लगने से प्रमोटर वहीं रास्ते पर खुन से लथपथ होकर गिर पड़े। स्थानीय लोगों ने घटना की जानकारी पुलिस को दी जिसके बाद पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची तथा उन्हें हावड़ा जिला अस्पताल ले जाया गया जहां डॉक्टरों ने मृत घोषित कर दिया गया।
घटना की जांच करने के लिए हावड़ा सिटी पुलिस के अधिकारी भी मौके पर पहुंचे। पुलिस का प्रारंभिक अनुमान है कि प्रमोटिंग को लेकर किसी विवाद को केन्द्र कर वारदात को अंजाम दिया गया है। बहरहाल पुलिस ने शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज कर मामले की जांच में जुट गई है। पुलिस घटनास्थल पर लगे सभी सीसीटीवी फुटेज को खंगाल रही है। घटनास्थल पर बेंटरा थाना की पुलिस पिकेट बैठा दी गई है। घटना से इलाके में दहशत का माहौल है। इस वारदात के बाद इलाके में कुछ देर के लिए अफरातफरी का माहौल रहा।
