हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा खिलाडिय़ों का 3 प्रतिशत कोटा समाप्त करने की वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष खेल प्रकोष्ठ इंडियन नैशनल लोकदल सिरसा श्याम बामनिया ने कड़ी निंदा की है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान सरकार प्रदेश के लाखों खिलाडिय़ों का करियर बर्बाद करने पर तुली हुई है। बामनिया ने कहा कि एक तरफ तो सरकार खेलों को बढ़ावा देने की बात करती है, दूसरी तरफ खेल कोटा समाप्त कर खिलाडिय़ों के भविष्य को अंधकार की ओर धकेलने का प्रयास कर रही है, जिसे किसी सूरत में बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। बामनिया ने कहा कि हरियाणा की खेलों से ही पहचान है और खेल ही नहीं रहेंगे तो प्रदेश की पहचान को भी धक्का लगेगा। हरियाणा में गरीब, मजदूर, किसान अभिभावक अपने बच्चों को इसलिए खेलों में डालते हैं, ताकि उनके बच्चे राज्य, राष्ट्रीय व अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पदक जीतकर राज्य व राष्ट्र का गौरव बढ़ाएं। वर्तमान सरकार ने खेलों व खिलाडिय़ों को बर्बाद करने के लिए खेल विरोधी फैसले लिए हैं, ऐसा हरियाणा के खेल इतिहास में पहले कभी नहीं हुआ। बामनिया ने कहा कि सरकार खिलाडिय़ों से दुश्मनों जैसा व्यवहार कर रही है, जिससे खिलाड़ी खेलों से विमुख होकर नशा, अपराध, दुराचार, भ्रष्टाचार की प्रवृति की ओर अग्रसर होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार को तुरंत प्रभाव से इस फैसले पर विचार कर इसे वापस लेना चाहिए। उन्होंने चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि अगर सरकार ने इस फैसले को वापस नहीं लिया तो इंडियन नैशनल लोकदल खिलाडिय़ों के हक में आंदोलन करने से पीछे नहीं हटेगी।
