चेन्‍नै, तमिलनाडु के रामेश्वरम में चक्रवाती तूफान बुरेवी के कारण तटीय क्षेत्रों में हवाओं के साथ-साथ समुद्र में लहरें भी तेज़ होने लगी हैं। भारत मौसम विभाग के अनुसार बुरेवी गुरुवार रात या शुक्रवार सुबह तक दक्षिणी तमिलनाडु के तट को पम्बन और कन्याकुमारी के बीच से पार करेगा।
केरल में चक्रवात बुरेवी के शुक्रवार तक पहुंचने की आशंका को देखते हुए राज्य में हाई अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है। अधिकारियों ने स्थिति से निपटने के लिए 2000 से अधिक राहत शिविर खोले हैं और 5 दिसंबर तक तट पर मछली पकड़ने पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है।
पीएम मोदी ने सीएम विजयन से की बात
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बुधवार को मुख्यमंत्री पिनराई विजयन से बात की और उन्हें केंद्र से हरसंभव मदद का भरोसा दिया। विजयन ने कहा कि मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने पूर्वानुमान जताया है कि तिरुवनंतपुरम, कोल्लम, पथनमथिट्टा, कोट्टायम, अलप्पुझा, इडुक्की और एर्णाकुलम जिलों में तीन से 5 दिसंबर तक भारी बारिश और तेज हवा चलेगी।(UNA)
