नागपुर, भाजपा नेता देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने शुक्रवार को यहां कहा कि देश में ‘लव जिहाद’ की घटनाएं घट रही हैं, इसलिए इन्हें रोकने के लिए कानून लाना उचित है। वह कांग्रेस नेता और राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत के एक आरोप के संबंध में पूछे गये प्रश्न का उत्तर दे रहे थे।
गहलोत ने भाजपा पर लव जिहाद शब्द रचने और सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव को खराब करने का आरोप लगाया है। इस पर महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा, “ये सभी छद्म धर्मनिरपेक्ष लोग हैं। वे सोचते हैं कि हिंदुओं पर हमले करना और उन्हें अपशब्द बोलना धर्मनिरपेक्षता है।” उन्होंने कहा, “देश में लव जिहाद हो रहा है और केरल में भी इस बात को माना गया है जहां भाजपा सत्ता में नहीं है।”

उन्होंने कहा, “जब इस तरह की बातें सामने आती हैं तो सरकार की जिम्मेदारी बनती है कि कानून बनाए।” भाजपा शासित कुछ राज्यों ने तथाकथित लव जिहाद की रोकथाम के लिए योजनाएं बनाई हैं। मुंबई में शिवसेना के एक कार्यकर्ता द्वारा मिठाई की एक दुकान के मालिक से दुकान के नाम से ‘कराची’ शब्द हटाने के लिए कहने के घटनाक्रम पर फडणवीस ने कहा, “हम अखंड भारत में भरोसा करते हैं और हमारा मानना है कि एक दिन कराची भारत का हिस्सा होगा।”(UNA)
