उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर में कुछ लोगों की भीड़ ने जबरन ‘जय श्री राम’ का नारा लगवाते हुए एक मुस्लिम ई-रिक्शा चालक की जमकर पिटाई की। सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुए इस घटना के वीडियो में कुछ लोग ई-रिक्शा चालक की पिटाई करते हुए नजर आ रहे हैं। इस दौरान वे उससे ‘जय श्री राम’ का नारा लगाने को कह रहे हैं। गुरुवार को इस मामले में मुकदमा दर्ज कर पुलिस ने तीन आरोपियों को अरेस्ट कर लिया है। हालांकि, मुकदमे में पुलिस ने इस मामले में शामिल किसी भी संगठन का नाम नहीं लिया है।
वायरल वीडियो में रिक्शा चालक की बच्ची हमलावरों के आगे अपने पिता को छोड़ देने की मिन्नतें करती हुई गिड़गिड़ाती नजर आ रही है। बाद में कुछ पुलिसकर्मी उस रिक्शा चालक को अपनी जीप से ले जाते नजर आ रहे हैं। फुटेज में यह भी दिखाया गया है कि पुलिस की मौजूदगी में भी हमलावर रिक्शा चालक को पीट रहे हैं।
पुलिस ने नहीं लिया किसी संगठन का नाम
कानपुर की डीएसपी (साउथ) रवीना त्यागी ने बताया कि यह घटना बुधवार को बर्रा इलाके में रामगोपाल क्रॉसिंग के पास कच्ची बस्ती में हुई है।कानपुर नगर के पुलिस कमिश्नर असीम अरुण ने बताया कि इस मामले में तीन आरोपियों अजय उर्फ राजेश बैंड वाला, अमन गुप्ता और राहुल कुमार को अरेस्ट कर लिया है। बाकी आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के लिए दबिश दी जा रही है।
रिक्शा चालक के रिश्तेदार का चल रहा जमीन विवाद
वारदात के शिकार हुए ई-रिक्शा चालक ने बताया कि बुधवार दोपहर करीब तीन बजे कुछ लोग गाली-गलौज करते हुए उसे मारने पीटने लगे और उसके परिवार को जान से मारने की धमकी दी। पुलिस ने हमलावरों के चंगुल से उसे बचाया है। पुलिस सूत्रों के मुताबिक, पीड़ित ई-रिक्शा चालक के एक रिश्तेदार का उसके बहुसंख्यक पड़ोसियों के खिलाफ जमीन को लेकर मुकदमा चल रहा है। पिछले साल जुलाई में इस मामले में दोनों पक्षों ने एक दूसरे के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कराया था।
