अपने शारीरिक कद-काठी से अलग पहचान बना चुके संडीला, हरदोई के सामाजिक और राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ता रफीक लंबू का कद अब और बढ़ गया है जब संडीला विधानसभा 161से भावी विधायक सभा से एमाइएम ने उन्हें प्रत्याशी घोषित किया है। रफीक लंबू का MIM में जाने पर कुछ लोग चौंक भी रहे हैं और कुछ बहुत खुश नज़र आ रहे हैं। रफीक लंबू किसान आंदोलन के दौरान समाजवादी पार्टी का एक खास चेहरा माने जाते थे। लेकिन चुनाओं का अपना समीकरण होता है और उस समीकरण में शायद रफीक लंबू सपा के लिए फिट नहीं बैठ पा रहे थे। इसी वजह से उन्होने एमआईएम का हाथ थामा है। संडीला से आ रही खबरों के मुताबिक संडीला विधानसभा 161से भावी विधायक प्रत्याशी का संडीला क्षेत्र के लोगो ने रफीक लंबू का भव्य स्वागत किया है। रफीक लंबू ने एक बयान में कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश में मुसलमानो, दलित, वंचित, पिछड़ा वर्ग की एक आजाद सियासी कयादत बनेगी एमआईएम। मुसलमानों दलित वंचित पिछड़ा वर्ग की लोगो के साथ हो रहे जुल्म व ना इंसाफिया का खात्मा होगा और उनके अधिकारों के लिए लड़ा जाएगा हिंदू मुस्लिम एकता की मिसाल कायम किया जाएगा।
रफीक लंबू बधाई देने वालों का तांता लगा हुआ है। इसी मौके पर मौजूद रहे मो० सलमान इदरीसी, कुलदीप गौतम, पंकज गुप्ता, मो०निजाम सुलतान, सावेज सिद्दीकी, अतीक अंसारी, मुसरफ अली, अराज खान, ओम प्रकाश मौर्य,सब्बन,तमाम लोगों ने रफीक लंबू को बधाई दी।
