एचइसी के 71 क्वार्टर पर पुलिस अफसरों व कर्मियों का कब्जा है. इन पर पांच करोड़ 98 लाख 11 हजार 422 रुपये बकाया भी है. इसकी जानकारी मिलने पर डीआइजी अखिलेश झा ने जांच कर पुलिस अफसरों और कर्मियों पर कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया है. उन्होंने कार्रवाई की जिम्मेवारी एसएसपी को सौंपी है. एचइसी के डीजीएम टीए डिवीजन की ओर से डीआइजी और पुलिस मुख्यालय के अधिकारियों से इसकी शिकायत की गयी है. उन्होंने अनधिकृत रूप से रहनेवाले पुलिस अफसरों के नाम व बकाये की सूची भी डीआइजी को सौंपी थी. रेंट के साथ ही पानी के बिल का भुगतान 31 मार्च 2020 तक नहीं किया गया है. ऐसे कई लोग हैं, जिन्हें पूर्व में क्वार्टर आवंटन किया गया था, लेकिन उन्होंने दूसरे लोगों को दे दिया. कुछ ऐसे भी पुलिसकर्मी हैं, जिन्हें आवास िमला था, लेकिन अब वे सेवानिवृत्त हो गये हैं. रांची से चले गये हैं, लेकिन क्वार्टर उनके नाम से ही है. कुछ लोगों ने रांची एसएसपी के नाम से ही बिजली कनेक्शन ले रखा है. तारकेश्वर राम पूर्व में धुर्वा थाना प्रभारी के पद पर रहे थे, लेकिन कुछ वर्ष पूर्व ही उनका ट्रांसफर हो गया था, लेकिन अभी भी आवास उनके नाम पर है. उन पर भी बकाया है.
