विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) के छह जुलाई के सर्कुलर और अंतिम वर्ष की परीक्षाएं रद्द करने की याचिकाओं पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट आज फैसला सुनाएगा। देशभर में अंतिम वर्ष की परीक्षाओं के आयोजन को लेकर कोर्ट ने 18 अगस्त को सुनवाई पूरी की थी और फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया गया था। इस मामले की सुनवाई न्यायमूर्ति अशोक भूषण, न्यायमूर्ति आर सुभाष रेड्डी और न्यायमूर्ति एमआर शाह की खंडपीठ कर रही थी। पीठ ने 18 अगस्त को फैसला सुरक्षित रखते हुए सभी पक्षों से तीन दिन के अंदर लिखित रूप से अपनी अंतिम दलील दाखिल करने को कहा था। बता दें कि यूजीसी ने छह जुलाई को देशभर के विश्वविद्यालयों और कॉलेजों में यूजी (स्नातक) और पीजी (परास्नातक) पाठ्यक्रमों के अंतिम वर्ष या सेमेस्टर की परीक्षाओं को अनिवार्य रूप से 30 सितंबर 2020 तक पूरा करने से संबंधित एक सर्कुलर जारी किया था। कोविड-19 के चलते परीक्षाओं का विरोध किया जा रहा है। यूजीसी के इस कदम को लेकर देशभर के अलग-अलग संस्थानों के 31 छात्रों ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दायर की थी। इसमें अंतिम वर्ष या सेमेस्टर की परीक्षाओं को रद्द करने की मांग की गई थी। याचिका में छात्रों का परिणाम, आंतरिक मूल्यांकन या पिछले प्रदर्शन के आधार पर तैयार करने की मांग की गई थी।(UNA)
