हरियाणा; सिरसा। गांव खाजाखेड़ा स्थित राजकीय प्राथमिक पाठशाला में प्रतिभा वूमेन वेल्फेयर सोसायटी की ओर से जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता सोसायटी की चेयरपर्सन विमला सिंवर ने की। इस मौके पर विमला सिंवर ने बच्चों को जल एवं स्वच्छता सहायक संगठन द्वारा जल बचाओ अभियान के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। सिंवर ने बताया कि आगामी 2 अक्टूबर को महात्मा गांधी की जयंती पर प्रधानमंत्री वीडियो कान्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिये जल जीवन मिशन व जल बचाओ अभियान के तहत ग्रामीणों से रू-ब-रू होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें मिलकर जल है तो कल है के नारे को सार्थक करना होगा। अगर अब भी नहीं जागे तो आने वाली पीढिय़ों के लिए मुसीबतें खड़ी हो जाएंगी। भूमि का जलस्तर धीरे-धीरे नीचे जा रहा है, जिसके कारण धरती पर पीने योग्य पानी की लगातार कमी होती जा रही है। लोगों द्वारा अधिक पेड़ काटने के कारण बरसात भी समय पर नहीं हो रही है, जिसके कारण समस्या और भी विकट हो गई है। सिंवर ने आह्वान किया कि हम सभी को मिलकर पानी की बर्बादी को रोकना होगा। गांव-गांव में अभियान चलाकर लोगों को जल के महत्व के बारे में जागरूक करना होगा। इस मौके पर मुख्य शिक्षक कमलेश रानी, सरपंच कवलजीत कौर, एबीआरसी राजेश कुमार, पूजा रानी, आंगनवाड़ी से दीप कौर, सक्षम योजना की पूरी टीम मौजूद रहे।
