सावित्रीबाई फुले शोध संस्थान आगामी 3 जनवरी 2023 को भारत की पहली महिला शिक्षिका सावित्रीबाई फुले की 191वीं जयंती के अवसर पर शिक्षा,कला,संस्कृति, साहित्य एवं समाजसेवा के क्षेत्र में सराहनीय सेवाओं और उल्लेखनीय योगदान देने वाली विशिष्ठ विभूतियों को माता सावित्रीबाई फुले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अवार्ड से सम्मानित करेगा।

संस्थान के चेयरमैन डॉ. हंसराज सुमन ने बताया है कि संस्थान की ओर से 5 महिलाओं को सम्मानित किया जाएगा। इसमें पहला माता सावित्रीबाई फुले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अवार्ड पीजीडीएवी कॉलेज की प्रिंसिपल प्रोफेसर कृष्णा शर्मा को दिया जाएगा। बालिकाओं की शिक्षा के लिए उन्होंने कई महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए है। सम्मान स्वरूप उन्हें प्रशस्ति पत्र,शाल, स्मृति चिन्ह और ग्यारह हजार रुपये की धनराशि भेंट की जाएगी। इसके अतिरिक्त प्रोफेसर सुषमा यादव,समकुलपति (हरियाणा केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय) प्रोफेसर अनु मेहरा (विधि संकाय, डीयू) प्रोफेसर गीता सहारे (डिप्टी डीन व चेयरपर्सन दुआ) प्रोफेसर रजत रानी मीनू (दलित साहित्यकार व कवयित्री) को सम्मानित किया जायेगा।

डॉ. सुमन ने बताया है कि सावित्रीबाई फुले का जन्म 3 जनवरी 1831 को हुआ था। इस दिन को लोग शिक्षा दिवस के रूप में मनाते है। उस ज़माने में जब महिलाओं के लिए घर से बाहर निकलना मुश्किल था और पुरुषों के साथ मिलकर कार्य करने की मनाही थी। उस समय सावित्री बाई फुले ने महिलाओं की शिक्षा के लिए विद्यालय खोलकर महान काम किया था। सावित्रीबाई फुले स्वयं इस विद्यालय में बालिकाओं को पढ़ाने के लिए जाती थीं। उन्हें सामंतीय सोच वाले समाज के विरोध का सामना करना पड़ा। लोग उन्हें गालियाँ देते थे, पत्थर फेंककर मारते थे लेकिन वे अपने उद्देश्य से पीछे नहीं हटी, स्त्री शिक्षा के विरोधी धर्म और समाज के ठेकेदारों ने उनके मिशन को रोकने के लिए उन पर कूड़ा-करकट, कीचड़ व गोबर और मानव-मल भी फेकवाए लेकिन वह अपने पथ पर सदैव आगे बढ़ती रही।

उन्होंने बताया कि अनेक कठिनाइयों और समाज के प्रबल विरोध के बावजूद महिलाओं का जीवन स्तर सुधारने व उन्हें शिक्षित तथा रूढ़िमुक्त करने में सावित्रीबाई फुले के कार्यों को भुलाया नहीं जा सकता है। कार्यक्रम समन्वयक प्रोफेसर के पी सिंह ने कहा कि शोध संस्थान हर साल सावित्रीबाई फुले की स्मृति को बनाए रखने के लिए शिक्षा, साहित्य, कला व संस्कृति में योगदान देने वाली देश की महिलाओं को सम्मानित करेगा। उन्होंने बताया है कि सावित्रीबाई फुले की शिक्षा वर्तमान समाज के लिए सर्वाधिक महत्वपूर्ण है, उन्होंने बालिकाओं की शिक्षा पर जोर दिया है। उनकी यह शिक्षा हमें उनके व्यक्तित्व व कृतित्व में देखने को मिलती है। इसीलिए समाज का हर तबका उनके द्वारा दी गई शिक्षाओं को याद करता है।
