अखिलेश यादव ने ‘संविधान दिवस‘ पर सभी को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा है कि भारत की संविधान सभा ने आज के ही दिन 26 नवम्बर 1949 को संविधान को अंगीकृत, अधिनियमित और आत्मार्पित किया था और व्यक्ति की गरिमा तथा राष्ट्र की एकता और अखण्डता को सुनिश्चित करने वाली बंधुता बढ़ाने का संकल्प लिया था।
उन्होंने कहा कि, आज देश संक्रमण काल से गुजर रहा है। संवैधानिक संस्थाएं लगातार कमजोर होती जा रही है। व्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता का अपहरण हो रहा है। पंथनिरपेक्षता का संकल्प दिन प्रति दिन क्षीण होता जा रहा है। यह भारत के संविधान की उद्देशिका को भूलने का प्रयास तो नहीं है?लोकशाही को बचाने के लिए तानाशाही प्रवृत्तियों पर अंकुश लगाना आवश्यक है। ऐसी ताकते, जो राजनीतिक दल के रूप में भारतीय संविधान की मूलभावनाओ को कुचलने में लगी है, के विरूद्ध जनमानस को उनके अधिकारों के प्रति सजग करना होगा।
उन्होंने कहा आखिर आज ऐसा क्यों हो रहा है कि जैसे-जैसे समय बढ़ता जाता है वैसे-वैसे सामाजिक न्याय और समान अवसर पर संकट बढ़ता जाता है? आजादी के 75वर्ष हो गए पर लोकतांत्रिक संस्थाएं और संवैधानिक संस्थाएं पूरी मजबूती से स्थापित क्यों नहीं हो पाई हैं? इनसे छेड़छाड़ होते रहना क्या संकट का कारण नहीं होगा? नागरिक अधिकारों पर कुठाराघात, अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी के साथ हो रहा खिलवाड़ लोकतंत्र पर गम्भीर खतरे का संकेत तो नहीं है?
