ASSAM: कांग्रेस की तरफ से गौरव गोगोई को लोकसभा का उपनेता नियुक्त किया गया, वहीं रवनीत बिट्टू को पार्टी का सचेतक बनाया गया है। 37 वर्षीय गौरव कांग्रेस के युवा नेता हैं और असम के कलिएबोर सीट से दो बार से सांसद हैं। गौरव के पिता तरुण गोगोई लंबे समय तक असम के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री रह चुके हैं। वहीं गौरव ने इंजीनियरिंग की पढाई करने के बाद एयरटेल कंपनी में कुछ समय तक काम किया और फिर दिल्ली में एक स्वयंसेवी संस्था के साथ काम करने लगे और फिर 2014 में कांग्रेस के टिकट पर लोकसभा का चुनाव लड़ा और जीत दर्ज की।
बता दें कि फिलहाल अधीर रंजन चौधरी लोकसभा में कांग्रेस के नेता हैं, जबकि के.सुरेश मुख्य सचेतक हैं। गोगोई पहले सचेतक की भूमिका में थे। इसके अलावा मणिकम टैगोर भी सचेतक हैं। कांग्रेस ने 14 सितंबर से आरंभ हो रहे संसद के मानसून सत्र से पहले ये नियुक्तियां की हैं। पार्टी ने अब तक लोकसभा में अपना उप नेता नियुक्त नहीं किया था।(UNA)
