आज जनपद मऊ में नगरीय निकाय चुनाव की तैयारियों को जिला/शहर कांग्रेस कमेटी के पदाधिकारियों की संगठनात्मक बैठक राजीव गांधी स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय के प्रांगण में प्रदेश अध्यक्ष बृजलाल खाबरी की मौजूदगी में प्रारंभ हुई। जहां पर जिला/शहर कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष एवं जनपद के कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपने प्रदेश अध्यक्ष के प्रथम आगमन पर जोरदार स्वागत किया।
उत्तर प्रदेश कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता सचिन रावत ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि कार्यकर्ताओं को संबोधित करते हुए प्रदेश अध्यक्ष बृजलाल खाबरी ने कहा कि नगर निकाय चुनाव के लिए कार्यकर्ता कमर कस लें और कार्यकर्ताओं के बल पर हम नगर निकाय का चुनाव में बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने में कामयाब होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि संगठन में कार्यकर्ताओं की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित की जायेगी।
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि कार्यकर्ताओं को सम्मान देने के साथ-साथ कार्यकर्ताओं में नेतृत्व क्षमता में वृद्धि करना एवं बूथ से लेकर जिला स्तर में कार्यकर्ताओं का सम्मान करना मेरा पहला लक्ष्य होगा सपा, बसपा और भाजपा चुनाव में अनर्गल मुद्दे उठाकर अपना उल्लू सीधा करना चाहती है। लेकिन कांग्रेस पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता उसका मुंहतोड़ जवाब देने के लिए संकल्पित हैं।
