नयी दिल्ली।
मानसरोवर पार्क मेट्रो स्टेशन से लगभग एक किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित कस्तूरबा नगर है, दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण यानी डीडीए ने यहां के चार कॉलोनियों को तोड़ने का आदेश जारी कर यहां की दीवारों पर नोटिस चिपका दिया है।
बीते 2 अगस्त को डीडीए ने कॉलोनी के चारों ओर नोटिस चिपका दिया। साथ ही डीडीए ने घोषणा की है कि कॉलोनी के कुछ हिस्सों को 18 अगस्त तक ध्वस्त कर दिया जाएगा।
यह सब सरकार इसलिये कर रही है ताकि मुख्य सड़क को दूसरे शहर की आंतरिक सड़क से जोड़ने के लिए एक सड़क बनाई जा सके। ये लोग पिछले 70 साल से यहां रह रहे हैं और हाउस टैक्स चुका चुके हैं और इनके पास मकान नंबर भी हैं, ये बिजली और पानी के बिल का भुगतान करते हैं।
सड़क को शुरू में भूमि के एक छोटे से टुकड़े के माध्यम से बनाया जाना था जिसे पार्क के रूप में लेबल किया गया है, लेकिन वास्तव में पास के शिवम एन्क्लेव द्वारा पार्किंग के रूप में उपयोग किया जाता है।

यहां के लोगों का कहना है कि, यह भारत के आधुनिक विकासशील शहरों में वर्ग जाति और सामंती प्रवृत्तियों का एक स्पष्ट मामला है। एक ऐसी जगह जहां घरों को गिराने की जरूरत नहीं है, डीडीए एक पूरी मजदूर वर्ग की कॉलोनी को ध्वस्त कर रहा है और उन लोगों को विस्थापित कर रहा है जो लगभग 70 वर्षों से वहां रह रहे हैं और चमकदार फ्लैट निवासियों की तुलना में अधिक समय से इलाके में रह रहे हैं जो कि आर्थिक और सामाजिक रूप से ऊपर की श्रेणी में हैं।
