बिजली मंत्री रणजीत सिंह ने कहा कि हलका के लोगों का उन्हें हमेशा सहयोग व साथ मिला है। हलका के लोगों के लिए 24 घंटे उनके दरवाजे खुले हैं। रानियां विधानसभा क्षेत्र में करोड़ों के विकास कार्य करवाए जा रहे हैं, जिनमें बहुत से कार्य पूरे भी हो चुके हैं। विकास के मामले में हलका को पीछे नहीं रहने दिया जाएगा।
बिजली मंत्री शुक्रवार को जीवन नगर अनाज मंडी में आढती एसोसिएशन की ओर से आयोजित अभिनंदन समारोह में उपस्थिजन को संबोधित कर रहे थे। एसोसिएशन के पदाधिकारियों व सदस्यों ने मंत्री का जोरदार स्वागत किया। इस अवसर पर एसोसिएशन की ओर से अनाज मंडी में विभिन्न कार्यों की मांग भी रखी, जिन्हें पूरा करवाने के लिए मंत्री की ओर से पूरा आश्वासन दिया गया।
बिजली मंत्री ने कहा कि रानियां हलका में करोड़ों के विकास कार्य करवाए जा रहे हैं, जिनमें सड़कें, सीवर लाइन, मल्टीपर्पज हाल, पार्क, स्ट्रीट लाइट आदि विकास कार्य शामिल हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि 25 करोड़ रुपये की राशि मंजूर हो चुकी हैं, जिनसे हलका की जितनी भी टूटी सड़कें है, उनके जीर्णोद्घार का कार्य किया जाएगा। यह कार्य अगले तीन माह में शुरु हो जाएगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि इसी प्रकार सिरसा-रानियां-डबवाली सड़क का चौड़ीकरण किया जाएगा। सड़क को 33 फुट चौड़ा किया जाएगा। इस कार्य का अगले माह टेंडर कर लिया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि सड़के किसी भी क्षेत्र के विकास की धुरी होती हैं, इसलिए प्रदेश सरकार प्राथमिकता से गुणवत्तापूर्वक सड़कों के निर्माण व मरम्मत कार्य करवा रही है।
अभिनंदन समारोह में आढती एसोसिएशन की ओर से मंत्री को मांग पत्र दिया गया, शैड के चौड़ा करने, चार दीवारी आदि कार्य शामिल हैं। मंत्री ने अनाज मंडी में शैड को लंबा करने व चार दीवारी करवाने की घोषणा की। इसके साथ ही अन्य मांगों को भी पूरा करवाने का आश्वासन दिया। इस दौरान उपस्थिजन की समस्याओं को भी सुना और उपस्थित अधिकारियों को इनके समाधान के लिए दिशा-निर्देश दिए।
बिजली मंत्री ने कहा कि 25 सितंबर को प्रात: 10 बजे पूर्व उपप्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय चौधरी देवीलाल की 109वीं जयंती को उनके सिरसा आवास पर मनाया जाएगा। उन्होंने सभी को 25 सितंबर को उनके बरनाला रोड स्थित निवास स्थान पर पहुंचने का निमंत्रण दिया।
