Kolkata, पश्चिम बंगाल के बहुसंख्यक समाज का सबसे बड़ा उत्सव ‘शारदीय उत्सव’ संपन्न हो चुका है। अब राज्य में लोकतंत्र के सबसे बड़े उत्सव यानी विधानसभा चुनाव-2021 की आमद-आमद है। बस, चार-साढ़े चार महीने बाद अप्रैल-मई में चुनाव होने हैं। इधर, शारदीय उत्सव की विदाई के साथ ही शरद ॠतु यानी ठंडी ने भी दस्तक दे दी है। राज्य के पहाड़ी हिस्से, साल भर मनोरम ठंडी के लिए ही दुनिया में मशहूर दार्जिलिंग पार्वत्य क्षेत्र (पहाड़) के लिए इस बार की यह ठंडी बड़ी खास है। वजह, यह ठंडी बहुत गर्मी भरी है। इसकी तपिश से चिंगारी भी सुलगने लगी है और इसको सुलगाने वाला तेल हैं बिमल गुरुंग। जी हां, ये सारी तपिश, ये सारी चिंगारियां उनकी ही वजह से हैं और उन्हीं के इर्द-गिर्द हैं।
नई सदी में पहाड़ की बहुसंख्यक आबादी गोरखाओं के आंदोलन के सबसे प्रभावशाली चेहरा, गोरखा जनमुक्ति मोर्चा (गोजमुमो) अध्यक्ष बिमल गुरुंग लगभग तीन साल तक भूमिगत रहने के बाद अब फिर मंजर-ए-आम पर आ चुके हैं। गत 21 अक्टूबर को वह राजधानी कोलकाता में नमूदार हुए। अब उनके दार्जिलिंग आने की खबर है। बस, इसी को लेकर सारा हो-हंगामा है। कहीं, समर्थन के नारे हैं तो कहीं विरोध की गूंज। विधानसभा चुनाव के मौसम में इसी समर्थन और विरोध की राजनीति ने पहाड़ पर ठंडी को गर्मी से भर दिया है।
गोजमुमो दो धड़े में बंट गया है। एक ओर बिमल गुरुंग समर्थकों में गजब का उत्साह है तो दूसरी ओर उनके विरोधी, विनय तामंग व अनित थापा के समर्थकों में खासा रोष है। बिमल गुरुंग के दार्जिलिंग आमद की खबर पा उनके स्वागत के लिए समर्थकों द्वारा जगह-जगह झंडे, पोस्टर व बैनर लगाए जा रहे हैं। वहीं, विरोधी विरोध जता रहे हैं। उन्होंने भी विरोध के बैनर-पोस्टर लगाए हैं। इतना ही नहीं, गोजमुमो के विनय तामंग गुट ने बीते रविवार को दार्जिलिंग के सोनादा में विशाल प्रतिवाद रैली भी निकाली। उसमें शामिल प्रदर्शनकारियों ने विनय तामंग और अनित थापा के समर्थन और बिमल गुरुंग के विरोध में खूब नारे लगाए। बिमल गुरुंग पर निशाना साधते हुए प्रदर्शनकारियों ने कहा कि जो नेता पहाड़ से भाग गया, उसे वापस नहीं लौटना चाहिए। ऐसा नहीं होने पर उन लोगों ने जोरदार आंदोलन की चेतावनी भी दी है। जबकि, दूसरी ओर गोजमुमो का बिमल गुरुंग गुट उनके जोरदार स्वागत की तैयारी में जुट गया है।
पहाड़ पर इस ठंडी में गर्मी के नेपथ्य में पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री व तृणमूल कांग्रेस सुप्रीमो ममता बनर्जी का ‘मास्टर स्ट्रोक’ ही है। राजनीतिक पंडितों की मानें तो, सचमुच, अप्रैल-मई 2021 में होने वाले पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा चुनाव को लेकर ममता बनर्जी ने गजब का मास्टर स्ट्रोक खेल दिया है। उन्होंने एक ओर, जंगल महल को साधने के लिए आदिवासी आंदोलन के चेहरा छत्रधर महतो को तृणमूल कांग्रेस में शामिल करा लिया है तो दूसरी ओर, दार्जिलिंग पार्वत्य क्षेत्र (पहाड़) को साधने के लिए गोरखाओं के आंदोलन का सबसे अहम चेहरा बिमल गुरुंग को भी अपने पाले में ला खड़ा किया है। उस बिमल गुरुंग को जिसके खिलाफ उनकी ही सरकार ने 100 से अधिक मुकदमे कर रखे हैं। उन्हीं का कोपभाजन होने के चलते 2017 में बिमल गुरुंग व उनके बेहद करीबी रोशन गिरि को पहाड़ छोड़ कर भूमिगत होना पड़ा था।
उस समय तक बिमल गुरुंग भाजपा के जबरदस्त समर्थक व ममता बनर्जी के घोर विरोधी थे। अब जब तीन साल तक भूमिगत रहने के बाद उन्होंने फिर सार्वजनिक जीवन में कदम रखा है तो एकदम नए व ममतामय अवतार में हैं। वह ममता बनर्जी का गुणगान करते थक नहीं रहे हैं। उनका कहना है कि “हम ममता बनर्जी को लगातार तीसरी बार पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री बनते देखना चाहते हैं। क्योंकि, उन्होंने पहाड़ की जनजातियों के विकास और पूरे दार्जिलिंग पार्वत्य क्षेत्र के लिए कई काम किए हैं।”
बिमल गुरुंग ने बीते 21 मई को कोलकाता में मीडिया को संबोधित करते हुए कहा था कि, “हमारा अब भाजपा से मोहभंग हो गया है। हमने दार्जिलिंग संसदीय क्षेत्र को एक या दो नहीं बल्कि लगातार तीन बार भाजपा को ही दिया। इसके बावजूद भाजपा ने हमारे लिए कुछ नहीं किया। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी छह साल से प्रधानमंत्री हैं। मगर, उन्होंने भी दार्जिलिंग पार्वत्य क्षेत्र और वहां के लोगों की समस्याओं को हल करने की दिशा में एक भी कदम नहीं उठाया। यही कारण है कि, अब हमें भाजपा और भाजपा के नेतृत्व में कोई विश्वास नहीं है। हमने उनसे व एनडीए से नाता तोड़ लिया है। अब, हमें ममता बनर्जी पर पूरा भरोसा है।इसीलिए हम उनके साथ मिलकर काम करेंगे। अगले साल 2021 के पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा चुनाव में हम ममता बनर्जी को जिताने की पूरी कोशिश करेंगे। उत्तर बंगाल में हर सीट पर उनकी शानदार जीत सुनिश्चित करेंगे”।
इधर, पहाड़ पर बिमल गुरुंग को केंद्रित कर ठंडी में गर्मी का अंदाजा तृणमूल कांग्रेस सुप्रीमो ममता बनर्जी को शायद पहले से ही हो गया था। इसीलिए उनकी पार्टी ने बिमल गुरुंग के पदार्पण के अगले ही दिन ट्वीट करते हुए पहाड़ व पहाड़ वालों को संदेश दे दिया था। “हमें भरोसा है कि पहाड़ में सभी प्रमुख हितधारक, सिविल सोसाइटी समेत राजनीतिक पार्टियां व जीटीए (गोरखालैंड टेरिटोरिअल एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन) साथ मिल कर काम करेंगे, और हमारी मातृभूमि की शांति व समृद्धि के लिए हमारे साथ रहेंगे।” अब इस संदेश का कितना असर पड़ता है तो तभी स्पष्ट हो पाएगा जब बिमल गुरुंग दार्जिलिंग की धरती पर कदम रखेंगे। वैसे, इसे लेकर अभी समर्थक और विरोधी दोनों गुट आमने-सामने आ गए हैं।
खैर, जो भी हो, ममता बनर्जी के इस नए मास्टर स्ट्रोक से केंद्र की सत्तारूढ़ भाजपा के मिशन बंगाल-2021 को जोरों का झटका लगा है। आखिर, ऐसा हो भी क्यों न, बिमल गुरुंग के सहारे ही भाजपा तीन बार लगातार दार्जिलिंग संसदीय सीट जीतती आई है। गत 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव के दौरान भूमिगत रहने के बावजूद बिमल गुरुंग ने बड़ी भूमिका निभाई थी। आए दिन उनकी विज्ञप्ति और ऑडियो, वीडियो वार्ता ने ऐसा असर डाला कि दार्जिलिंग संसदीय क्षेत्र से भाजपा के राजू बिष्ट ने एक-दो नहीं बल्कि रिकाॅर्ड चार लाख से भी अधिक मतों से जीत पाई। इतना ही नहीं उत्तर बंगाल में विभिन्न जगहों पर फैले गोरखाओं में भी बिमल गुरुंग की अपील का ऐसा असर पड़ा कि उत्तर बंगाल की आठ में से सात लोकसभा सीट भाजपा की झोली में चली गई।
इधर, अब विधानसभा चुनाव की घड़ी में, वह भी भाजपा के देश के सबसे अहम मिशन, मिशन बंगाल-2021 के समय बिमल गुरुंग का साथ छूटना और उनका तृणमूल कांग्रेस के खेमे में चले जाना वाकई भाजपा के लिए बड़ी मुसीबत हो गई है। विधानसभा की चुनावी बिसात पर ममता बनर्जी के इस राजनीतिक दांव ने भाजपा की बेचैनी बेहद बढ़ा दी है। वह हरसंभव रूप में डैमेज कंट्रोल में लग गई है। इन सारे राजनीतिक समीकरणों का नतीजा क्या होगा वह तो वक्त ही बताएगा। फिलहाल, पहाड़ पर बड़ी ठंडी है, बड़ी गर्मी है।(UNA)
