आरटीओ की ओर से बार-बार नोटिस देने के बावजूद उम्र पूरी कर चुकी गाड़ियों को पुन: रजिस्ट्रेशन कराने गाड़ी मालिक नहीं आ रहे हैं। राजधानी में ऐसे वाहनों की संख्या पांच लाख से ज्यादा है। इनमें 50 फीसदी वाहन बिना रजिस्ट्रेशन चल रहे है। ये वाहन शहर भर में प्रदूषण भी फैला रहे है। ऐसे वाहनों के खिलाफ परिवहन विभाग बड़ी कार्रवाई करने की तैयारी है। पहले चरण में पूर्व में दिए गए नोटिस के आधार पर 1500 वाहनों का रजिस्ट्रेशन स्थाई तौर पर रद्द किया गया है। ये वाहन 20 साल पुराने हैं। एआरटीओ प्रशासन अंकिता शुक्ला ने बताया कि बार बार नोटिस जारी करने के बाद भी गाड़ी मालिक 15 साल पूरे हो चुके वाहनों के पुनः रजिस्ट्रेशन कराने नहीं आ रहे हैं, इस वजह से रजिस्ट्रेशन रद्द करने की कार्रवाई की जा रही है।(UNA)
