गांव चौटाला से तेजा खेड़ा तक डिस्ट्रीब्यूटरी का निर्माण न करने की मांग को लेकर धरनारत किसानों ने आज शुक्रवार को उपायुक्त पार्थ गुप्ता के आश्वासन के बाद धरना स्थगित करने की घोषणा की।
उपायुक्त ने किसानों को आश्वास्त किया कि मुख्यमंत्री हरियाणा श्री मनोहर लाल ने उनकी मांग पर सहानुभूतिपूर्वक विचार करते हुए चंडीगढ़ में संबंधित विभागों की एक तकनीकी टीम गठित कर इस डिस्ट्रीब्यूटरी के निर्माण के संबंध में जांच करवाने का आश्वासन दिया। यह तकनीकी टीम मौके पर जाकर स्थिति का जायजा लेगी और दोनों पक्षों की बाते सुनेगी।
तकनीकी टीम द्वारा अपनी रिपोर्ट मुख्यमंत्री को प्रस्तुत करने के उपरांत इस डिस्ट्रीब्यूटरी के निर्माण के संबंध में आगामी कार्यवाही की जाएगी। इस दौरा संबंधित विभाग द्वारा इस मामले में कोई कार्यवाही नहीं की जाएगी। किसानों ने सौहार्दपूर्ण माहौल में उपायुक्त से बात की तथा उनके आश्वासन पर अपनी सहमति जताते हुए धरना स्थगित करने की घोषणा की। इस अवसर पर एसडीएम डबवाली शंभू राठी, सिंचाई विभाग के कार्यकारी अभियंता भोला सिंह व अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
