करगिल चौक से लेकर चिल्ड्रेन पार्क के रास्ते सैकड़ों की संख्या में वित्तरहित शिक्षक आगे बढ़ रहे थे। इसी बीच पूर्व सांसद पप्पू यादव वहां पहुंचे और शिक्षकों की मांगों का समर्थन किया। पूर्व सांसद को प्रदर्शनकारी शिक्षकों ने माला पहनाकर सम्मान दिया।
इधर, प्रदर्शन की खबर मिलते ही मौके पर पहुंची गांधी मैदान थाने की पुलिस ने प्रदर्शनकारी शिक्षकों को आगे बढ़ने से रोक दिया। थानेदार सुनील सिंह के मुताबिक लॉकडाउन के नियमों को तोड़ने को लेकर सौ से डेढ़ सौ वित्तरहित शिक्षकों और पूर्व सांसद पर केस दर्ज किया गया है।
केस दर्ज होने को लेकर पूर्व सांसद पप्पू यादव ने कहा है कि वे महज दो मिनट के लिये वित्तरहित शिक्षकों के पास गये थे। वहां उन्होंने अपनी बात रखी। उनके जाने से दो घंटा पहले से शिक्षक प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे। खुद पूर्व सांसद ने ही शिक्षकों को प्रदर्शन खत्म कर वापस जाने को कहा ताकि भीड़ न लगे। पप्पू यादव ने कहा कि केस दर्ज हो जाने के कारण वे लोगों की आवाज को दबने नहीं देंगे। अपनी आवाज को मजबूती के साथ रखेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि बुधवार को भी राजधानी में होने वाले प्रदर्शन में वे शामिल होंगे।
