झारखंड में विश्वविद्यालय सेवा आयोग का गठन नहीं होगा. उच्च शिक्षा विभाग के प्रस्ताव को मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन ने नामंजूर कर दिया है. मुख्यमंत्री का मानना है कि जब झारखंड लोक सेवा आयोग कार्य कर ही रहा है, तो अलग से विवि सेवा आयोग के गठन का कोई औचित्य नहीं है. दरअसल, झारखंड लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति, प्रोन्नति आदि कार्य में विलंब को देखते हुए अलग राज्य गठन के बाद से ही विश्वविद्यालय शिक्षक संघ अलग आयोग के गठन की मांग कर रहा था. चार वर्ष पूर्व भी तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री रघुवर दास ने उच्च शिक्षा विभाग को विवि सेवा आयोग के गठन का प्रस्ताव तैयार करने का निर्देश दिया था. कहा गया था कि अब विवि शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति झारखंड लोक सेवा आयोग की जगह विवि सेवा आयोग करेगा. विभाग को इससे संबंधित रेगुलेशन तैयार कर कैबिनेट से स्वीकृति लेने व इसके बाद आयोग के गठन संबंधी अध्यादेश बनाना था. मुख्यमंत्री श्री सोरेन द्वारा इस पर असहमति जताने के बाद अब झारखंड लोक सेवा आयोग को ही शीघ्र ही विवि शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया पूरी करनी होगी.(UNA)
